Which file formats do you accept for my manuscript?

We prefer manuscripts in Microsoft Word format, but we also accept PDFs or files from other text editing programs. You can mail physical manuscripts to us. If your manuscript is in a different format, simply let us know, and we will do our best to work with it.

Why do I need additional formatting even if my manuscript is already formatted?

Printers have specific layout requirements, and the binding process may require additional space considerations. We use layout software to make the necessary formatting adjustments to ensure your published book meets these requirements and looks as you expect.

How can I specify the placement of images in my book?

Your dedicated Publication Specialist will guide you through the process and ensure the images are placed where you want them in your book. They will work closely with you to meet your preferences and specifications.

My manuscript is composed of multiple files. How can I merge them into a single file?

If your documents are short, you can simply copy and paste them into one file. For longer documents, you can merge them using Microsoft Word. Here’s a step-by-step guide:
1. Open the first document in your manuscript.
2. Place the text cursor at the end of the document.
3. Go to the “Insert” tab in the top ribbon.
4. Click on “Object” and select “Text from File” from the drop-down menu.
5. Choose the files you want to merge into the current document. Note: The documents will be merged in the order they appear in the file list. If you want a different order, insert each file individually.

Is double-spacing required for my book?

No, we do not require double-spacing as some publishers might. You have the flexibility to choose your preferred line spacing for your book.

My manuscript is not in an electronic format. Can you transcribe it?

Yes, we do offer transcription services. If your manuscript is approved, your assigned Literary Agent can work with you to find a suitable solution for transcribing your manuscript into an electronic format.
