The Bird Left Behind

Jake, a South Carolina Wren was born in Columbia, South Carolina. Two brothers, Jay and Ray were born in the nest with him. Two and a half weeks after their births, their mother told them that it was time for them to fly out of the nest. After she gave them flying instructions, Jay and Ray flew out of the nest with their mother. Jake did not go with them. He was afraid to fly. Left in the nest alone and afraid, Jake realized that he needed to overcome his fear and find the courage to fly.
