The 7 Secrets For Overwhelming Joy
Before you start reading this book, rate how overwhelming your joy is right now on a scale from 1 to 10. This book will guide you through my journey of discovering how God's perspective on sin was compared to my different than my own understanding of sin. I can picture sin as a hole; something I could see, touch, and imagine falling into. Driven By my need to understand and feel, I chose to explore the hole, to feel it, to truly grasp whether falling in the hole would cause pain and how intense that pain might be. However, when believers consider sin, they fully trust that the Bible warns them that she hole is dangerous and harmful. Believers hear the Holy Spirit telling them that falling in the hole will hurt, that is why believers do their best to avoid sin. They have faith that listening to the Holy Spirit is the best decision. As stated in 1 Timothy 3:16-17, "All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching. Rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work." The Bible tells us about God, about ourselves, and how to live now and eternally. We realize that every second counts and tomorrow may be too late to love others and live every second to glorify God with our actions, thoughts, and words. The Bible helps us love, follow and know about God, but it also helps us understand humankind. The Bible contains God's master plan of salvation and how we can have assurance of God's forgiveness and salvation through Jesus. In fact, God's love and plan to save people is woven throughout the entire Bible and can be found in the Old Testament and New Testament. When you finish reading the seven secrets to overwhelming joy that God put in my heart to share with you, go back to your paper and rank how overwhelming your joy is now. Through reading the Bible and building a relationship with God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit my heart of stone was transformed. Without the Word of God, my marriage and my daughters' lives would remain bound by the chains of addiction, sexual abuse, adultery, hatred, and wrath that would have plagued our family for generations.-- Andrea De La Torre
