Stay Close to the Fire

Have you ever wondered how powerful men and women of God came to be such? You know, people who are real and on fire for God. When they speak, you feel something that you cannot explain. Somewhere in their testimony they claim to have been as bad as you are, if not worse, but are now delivered.

How is that possible? I know most of us feel unworthy of God’s grace and think that there is no help for us. I am here to tell you that is a lie that the enemy tells us, and we believe it because we have tried in our own strength to no avail. This is my story, in broad detail of how God delivered and made me free. I came to Jesus just like I was, believing He would save me, and He did.

How, you might ask? By staying close to the fire. I invite you to come along with me on my journey to understand what that means. It was not pretty, but it was absolutely necessary.

For our God is a consuming fire. (Hebrews 12:29 KJV)
