Perseverance with God’s Grace
A life is filled with tragedies and challenges yet with so many blessings.
How often does a family and person go through so much in life? Marrying young, fires burning my father and brother and my mom's house, my children murdered, marrying four times but ending up a widow, adopting my grandson as my son who I have raised alone. God has been there through all of this, revealing His love and mercy, turning tragedy and heartaches into strong faith and contentment in God for myself and my family.
I start by giving a history of my life from when I was born and take you through the different phases of my life. To do this, I have been transparent in all aspects of my life, whether living close to God or straying away from him. I have learned so many of His truths through my life and try to share them with the reader based on my experiences. I share how I see my experiences relate to many of today's challenges for families and children.
In each chapter of my life, I reflect on how God was there to minister to me and walk with me and my family through these heartaches.
Many books I read always end up being about going through bad events, saying God brought them through, and now life is good. That has not been my life, but God has shown me why we face challenges as long as we live. God sees us through them, and He will always be there holding our hand.
I pray this book will bring you closer in your walk with God by experiencing more of His love, mercy, and grace. For people who have not accepted Him as their Savior, I pray this story will encourage you to cry out to Him for salvation and a relationship you can always depend on.
