Letters in the Schoolhouse

Charlotte was immensely enjoying driving the gravel backroads, reminiscing of youthful days spent on the prairie farmlands of Eastern Washington with her first love. A bend in the road landed her on asphalt. Taking the first gravel road off the hot summer sun's black asphalt, she spotted a thicket of old-growth trees hiding a section of land in the middle of the wheat fields and swale creek ground. The enchanting place beckoned to her. Even without her fellow kindred-spirited, sleuthing friend Helen and the warning of the dilapidated "No Trespassing" sign, Charlotte couldn't resist the urge to investigate.
