Expelled
Expelled tells the story of an American family dealing with bullying and how the education system fails to protect those that are tormented by bullying daily. In this first-person account, journey with the Andrews family as their youngest daughter Emma is repeatedly bullied. Emma reaches out to her teachers for help, but the bullying continues. After Emma tries to find a way to deal with the bullying on her own, she gets expelled and is forced to attend a combined middle and high alternative school for expelled students and is one of the youngest at the age of eleven. Emma finds herself in a world with teenagers much too wise to the negative influences of this world.
The following year, Emma is excited to return to her friends, but the excitement is short-lived. On the first day of school, Emma watched her classmates as they each whispered to each other about the girl who was expelled.
The emotional trials of the Andrews family will leave you baffled at the education system's half-hearted attempts with facing bullying in the school and will leave you wondering why they do not do more to end bullying in the school.
