Come - Sit with Me
Here is a book of ventures for you! These include ventures into nature, self, faith (including Christmas and Christ-following), family love, life, and peace. This is an intensely personal account of memorable experiences captured in a wide variety of verse forms. Each new form's main features are briefly described on the initial page where a new verse form first appears for young or novice readers of verse to appreciate more fully.
So I invite you to "Come-Sit with Me" as we explore together memorable moments from my life of faith-ventures in these works I fondly call "a book of verse that could be worse." This book may also enrich many relationships with friends to whom you may choose to give a copy as a special gift. So come, join the ventures, and, in the process, find your own faith strengthened!
Readers’ Reviews
“At first, I was disappointed to see that it was in verse, rather than a straight-forward autobiography—which is what I was expecting. However, I was quickly won over. Almost immediately I found myself dipping into the various chapters at first at random, and then with an eye to the organizing framework of the book into various ventures. I can see this is a book I will come back to again and again.”

“As a graduate of Ezra Pound’s alma mater (Hamilton University), I do feel qualified to give an opinion of your poetry. It is excellent. I really appreciate sound echoing sense, fluidity, and use of convention. Too many think free verse means just slapping down thoughts without any other consideration of flow, mood, rhythm, imagery, etc. Yours is not that. Images are clear and evocative, and your use of form, alliteration, consonance, etc. are dead-on ..., but I really had no idea you were as good as this.”
